Spender's inspiration stems from her love for travel and natural landscape. She also credits her interest in designing clothes as stemming from her family's strong ties in fashion. Bianca studied at RMIT University before starting the brand in 2013 with best friend Grace Yang.

Their collections are full of detailed stitching, unique lace-up designs, and unusual hemlines. They also offer some pieces that can be worn both day and night to suit a variety of styles. One thing that sets their work apart is their ability to mix patterns; they will never put more than three colours on one piece which makes it a lot easier to match!

7. Lee Mathews

Hi! I'm Lee Mathews, founder of Tailored Brand. And I want to share with you the 13 of the best Australian clothing brands that you need to know about in 2023. One of Australia's most well-known fashion designers and a household name here and abroad is Marcia Kilgore. A designer who not only creates clothes but also writes books on fashion and beauty, Kilgore was the original head designer for Juicy Couture before starting her own brand called MKILGORE1828. Her designs are all over the spectrum from loungewear, to sports wear, and eveningwear; she does it all. But her signature style are these cute little cutsie dresses that have such charm - they really remind me of something someone my grandma would have worn. Another thing I love about MKILGORE1828 is how vintage-inspired some of their designs are - they definitely go back to when fashion had more elegance and classiness than what we see today.

8. Matteau

She has since gone on to design a capsule line of clothing for H&M and launched her own eponymous fashion label in 2008. Her son was born in 2001 and this gave her inspiration for designing children's clothes. McQueen: When the company filed for bankruptcy protection, the fate of Alexander McQueen was uncertain. However, it soon became clear that there was an interest from potential investors who would allow the brand to continue its operations while under new management.
