The Top 10 Trending Pakistani Dramas of  different channels.

If you’re just getting into Pakistani dramas, you might be wondering where to start. After all, there are so many options and you don’t want to wind up watching the same one over and over again! While many people have their favorite Pakistani dramas, we thought it would be helpful to take a look at the 10 that are most likely to be popular over the next few years. Here’s what we have planned as far as Pakistani drama viewing goes!

PTV Home

With an output of over 100 hours annually and a viewership exceeding 60 million households worldwide, PTV Home remains one of Pakistan’s most popular television channels. The first channel to air in Pakistan, PTV Home is responsible for producing some of Pakistan’s most successful dramas including Dewar-e-Kabootar (Birdsong), Inteha (Desire), Tu Meri Zindagi Hai (You are My Life) and many more.

ARY Digital

After a slow start to its original productions, ARY Digital has taken off in recent years. It has also become much more ambitious—and successful—in terms of adapting international formats. From Waris and Bhoori Basant to Indian imports like Humsafar, ARY is now a force to be reckoned with.

Hum TV

The channel known for bringing us some of our favorite dramas, such as Meri Ma’amti and Pani Jaisa Piyar, has had a rough last few years. It was reported in 2018 that Hum TV had to temporarily suspend its operations due to financial problems—though they have managed to survive and release dramas such as Aunn Zara (2018). We don’t yet know what will be on Hum TV in 2022.

Geo Entertainment

Geo was one of Pakistan’s most popular drama channels in 2016 and it has already produced some great dramas in 2017. In order to stay on top, I believe they will continue producing very dramatic, intriguing, and entertaining shows that focus on family values. As such, I believe they will rank as one of Pakistan’s top three drama channels in 2022.

A-Plus Entertainment

If you’re going to bet on one studio to dominate TV in Pakistan, it’s going to be A-Plus Entertainment. This Karachi-based firm has a clean track record with entertaining audiences across all genres, whether it’s romance or comedy or drama. Look for shows like Meri Adalat (My Court) and Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika (My Girls' Mallika) to lead their 2022 pack.

Urdu 1

The top Urdu drama channels on television have only focused on content revolving around love stories so far. This will change in 2022, when they start focusing on family dramas too. And thanks to our strong cinematic history and reputation as a drama-producing powerhouse, these family dramas will be able to take Bollywood head-on. Here’s our list of ten that might just make it big...!

Bol Entertainment

Pakistan’s top entertainment and media group, Bol Entertainment has established its name in just a few short years. The group is launching multiple new TV dramas every year as well as producing original feature films. Being one of Pakistan’s most progressive media companies, Bol Entertainment aims to shape today’s popular culture while taking into account changes in technology and social trends.

Zindagi TV

What does Zindagi mean? Well, one literal translation is life. But it’s also a play on words in Urdu—in English, it means life channel. Zindagi TV is a free-to-air network that first broadcasted in 2014.

Play TV

With so many platforms to choose from, it’s hard to narrow down which show you should watch each night. Luckily, services like Play TV are making it easier for you by cutting out all that choice. Choose a channel and let Play TV decide what you should be watching. Don’t feel like anything’s on? Just play a game or check Facebook! The service will even recommend new shows based on what you have watched in the past.
