Born in Ghana, Enninful moved to London aged 16. After working for magazines like Elle (Canada), i-D, and Interview, he took on his first major position at British Vogue in 1997, where he has since remained Editor-at-Large. In 2017, he became editor of American Vogue under Anna Wintour’s tenure.

Childhood

Born in Ghana, Enninful moved with his family to London at a young age. He was raised in Brixton and studied at Saint Martin’s School of Art, graduating in 1988. Upon graduation, he was hired by Vogue as an assistant photographer before taking on a position with W Magazine in 1998.
